Oliver Ike and Marc Newson founded the Ikepod Watch Company in 1994 in Switzerland, manufacturing limited edition mechanical chronometers (certified C.O.S.C), designed by Newson.
Over the years various collections including Seaslug, Hemipode, Isopode, Megapode and Manatee have been developed.
The Ikepod factory are located in Bassecourt, which lies in the region of the Franches Montagnes, in the Swiss Canton of Jura.
Ikepod timepieces are renowned for both their extraordinary design and innovative mechanical functions. All movement transformations are finished in-house by Ikepod, who hope to develop this process further in the future. The latest Ikepod movement is the new automatic flying Tourbillon, available from November 2000.
